How'd I land here?
My career as a freelance graphic designer began in 2013, and the following year I joined Cambrian College's Graphic Design program as an instructor. For the next decade, I had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students, learning from them along the way, and being thoroughly humbled in the process. Ten years was a pretty good run.
In 2024, I returned my full attention to freelance design and illustration while making more room for another long-standing interest: printmaking. Stay tuned!
Much of what I enjoy about this field is helping people figure things out.
I work with organizations, researchers, businesses, and individuals to turn ideas into clear, engaging visual communication. Whether I'm developing an identity, designing a publication, or conceptualizing a mural for a public space, I'm always interested in finding the clearest and most meaningful way to tell the story.
Few bells and whistles.
I may not take myself too seriously, but I do take pride in my work, and I strive for design that's clear, thoughtful, and purposeful.
If you're looking for something turned around overnight, I may not be your person. If you're searching for someone who will take the time to understand the problem and build a tailored solution, then let's have a chat and see what we can create together.

None of us manage alone.
Thanks to Ron Beltrame — my colleague, mentor, and friend — for his encouragement and guidance throughout the years. And I know he's not one for the spotlight, but too bad, pal—I'm damn grateful.
Thanks to Mar(grit): She's one of the hardest-working people I know, and even though I've taken a very different path from the one she might have chosen for me, I've carried her example with me. Thanks, Mom.
And John: For being my most honest soundboard, and sticking around throughout the "I think I'm going to completely reconfigure my website" conversations. His support has mattered more than I probably say often enough.
And to all of my former students — thank you x1000 — for the education you gave me, and which I continue to carry forward.
And yeah, I know — an unconventional bit to add to a graphic design website.
But I encourage a little more unconventional thinking and humanity in this world.
